Why not just buy health insurance direct?
We work for you, not the insurance companies.
Buying direct costs the same and leaves you alone with it. The price of a plan is set by the carrier. Buying through Health Trust Financial doesn't add a penny, the carriers pay us, not you. So going direct means paying the same price with no one in your corner. With us, the price is identical, and you get a licensed advisor, vetted by the Ramsey team, who compares top carriers, catches the costly mistakes, and stays with you.
How a broker actually gets paid
The carriers pay a commission when someone enrolls, and it's built into the price of the plan whether a broker is involved or not. It isn't added on for using one. It isn't taken off for going without one.
Our job is to find the plan that actually fits you, not to push one company's product. If a plan we can't sell is the right plan for you, we'll tell you that.
To be clear about the two things people mix up: the price of any given plan is the same whether you buy it alone or through us. The savings our clients talk about come from us finding them a better-fitting, lower-cost plan than the one they had. Our help itself never costs you a thing.

Same price, either way.
Carriers set the price. We never mark it up.
A real expert, free.
We compare top carriers and find your best fit at no cost to you.
Someone in your corner.
We handle the fine print, renewals, and changes, so you don't go it alone.

How getting covered works.
Most of the work happens on our side. You spend about two minutes telling us your situation. We do the rest, and we bring you a short list instead of a spreadsheet.

Talk to your advisor.
A licensed advisor compares your options, checks your doctors, and finds out if you qualify for a subsidy.
Compare plans.
See your best-fit choices side by side. We explain the deductibles and networks plainly, so you know exactly what you're buying.
Enroll.
Pick the plan that fits. We handle the application and make sure it's filed correctly and on time.
We stay with you.
Through renewals, life changes, and the move to Medicare. We shop your coverage again each year so you don't overpay.
We compare plans from the carriers you already know.

The five mistakes people make shopping alone
Every one of these is common, every one is avoidable, and every one costs money.
Shopping on the monthly premium alone.
It is the number everyone compares, and it is the wrong one to compare first. A low premium usually means a high deductible, which is what you pay before the plan starts sharing costs.
A cheap plan you cannot afford to actually use is not a cheap plan. You find that out in the year you need it.
Not checking the network before enrolling.
Your doctor accepting insurance in general does not mean your doctor is in the network of the specific plan you are about to buy.
People find this out at their first appointment, and by then the enrollment window has usually closed.
Letting the plan auto-renew.
Plans reset every year. Networks change, drug lists change, prices change, and your income changes. Auto-renewal quietly assumes none of that happened.
Most people never re-check. That is exactly why they keep overpaying, year after year.
Assuming a broker costs extra.
It does not. The carriers set the price and it is identical either way. This is the most misunderstood fact in health insurance.
It is the reason a great many people shop alone and end up in the wrong plan, for exactly the same money.
Missing the enrollment window.
Open enrollment is a fixed window. Miss it and you usually wait a year, unless a qualifying life event opens a special enrollment period.
A lot of people qualify for a special enrollment period and never find out.
You're not supposed to know all this. We are. This is what we mean by someone in your corner.
